Team Profile
Ikeeta Johnson
Ikeeta Johnson, is the founder of Life is Maid based in Raleigh, NC. As a Professional Organizer, I serve a wide range of clients: people who are compulsive buyers, busy and overwhelmed people, people with chronic disorganization, ADHD, ADD, and hoarding disorders. My approach combined with organizing and coaching skills gives me the knowledge of how to maximize my client’s unique abilities.
I’ve been organizing my own and other people’s spaces as far back as I can remember. From organizing my books and toys to color coordinating my closet as a child. I’ve always been drawn to clean, orderly spaces. As a child my mother did have to tell me to make my bed and clean my room, but not the pantries- I actually LIKED doing that stuff! Little did I know that my natural born talent for organizing and streamlining life’s challenges would be my PASSION and career, impacting individuals and families for the better. I’m passionate about clearing clutter, reorganizing kitchens and closets and solving life problems within your homes or offices. I even get excited about cleaning out storage spaces! I am highly empathetic and nearly impossible to shock. If you think your home, office, attic or garage is truly “the worst” … just try me. I promise you’ll never feel shamed or judged, with me. I’ve had plenty of my own ‘rock bottom’ moments of disorganization, and I get it.
The skills I used in my former career – being resourceful, a good problem-solver and having a keen eye for details translates seamlessly in my work as an Organizer. My diverse background combined with my ability to take hold of an idea, pull together all the necessary elements, and manage each project through to the end, make me a unique & trusted asset for clients facing organizing, relocation & life management challenges. Working with a wide variety of clients always brings new opportunities for creative solutions. Helping others to overcome their organizing challenges and seeing the results is priceless. I’ve learned that it’s not just about making things look Martha Stewart pretty and perfect. It’s about finding solutions and systems that works for you, not someone else. Although I’m a naturally organized person (I am a Virgo), I’ve worked hard to discover systems that sync with my personality, and allow me to create genuine order, not just the appearance of order.
As a Professional Organizer I use my experience and knowledge, combined with tested principles, to create spaces and organizational systems that promote efficiency and give clients more time to enjoy their lives. I also act as coaches to my clients, offering tips and instructing them in proper methods for organizing things. I regularly attend continuing education seminars and events to stay up to date on current organizing trends and systems to better serve clients. I’m currently working on becoming a member of NAPO.net—National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals, as well as a Quick Books Online Certified Pro Advisor, so that I could work with small businesses and busy professionals to keep their finances in order. I’m building and maintaining strong working relationships with real estate agents, moving companies, interior designers, contractors and many other vendors.
I’m here to make sure you are happy with our work. I will follow up with you personally to see how things are going and address any questions or concerns you have. I love to do what most people dread… organize spaces. And I do it efficiently and with style! When I’m not organizing, I can be found at the park with my pups, power walking, checking out new restaurants, or enjoying time with friends and family.
